In 2013 (DE-FI) coined the term "The Fashion Experience" a term that is now widely used to describe and promote events. Our signature experiences are unmatched and have inspired similar events both locally and nationwide.
We are very intentional with our audience and the attendees of our various fashion experiences. The majority of our events are intimate and invite only to ensure that aspiring and emerging talent who are genuinely interested in seeking a career in fashion are not lost amongst those who attend fashion events for entertainment purposes only.
Event passes and registration will only be available to those individuals who are invited. But don't get it twisted, there are also ways for those who are interested in fashion as entertainment to get involved as well. Depending on the goals of the event, access will be made available on a first come first serve basis.

Dayton Fashion Week Est. 2012

Did you know that the Owner/Director of (DE-FI) Global INC and many of (DE-FI)'s Advisors were played key roles in planning and producing the inaugural Dayton Fashion Week in 2012? In fact, it was Caressa Brown who served as the Model Coordinator for DFW that developed and produced the events in 2012 and brought her friends onboard who made sure the event took place in spite of several roadblocks that were beyond their control.
In 2016 when the former Owner of Dayton Fashion Week decided to let the brand go, (DE-FI) jumped at he opportunity to buy it, restore its name, and ensure that it was done right in an open, honest, and transparent way.
So, are you ready for a weekend full of supporting local small businesses, community outreach initiatives, networking, education, fun, and watching the designers from our incubator's careers take flight?

Taking place in the ancient and majestic setting of one of the Miami Valley’s hidden gems, Fashion in the Mystic Garden is the hottest fashion event of the summer and the place to see and be seen! Attendees will have the opportunity to mix, mingle, and network with some of the area’s top professionals, community leaders, and fashion lovers! The night also includes a fiercely unique runway presentation by designers who will be prepared to take special orders. Then we will dance the night away under the moonlight giving all attendees a night at the museum that they will never forget!! Be a witness.

Nominated mom will receive makeovers and strut their stuff on the runway. Proceeds from the Stylish Mom Runway Show will go to the Art of (DE-FI)ance Fashion Fund.

Q. What happens when you take one of the hottest Chefs in Southwest Ohio and you team them up with the hottest fashion designers?
A. Well, you’ll get a fashion meets food experience like no other!
Q. So, what exactly is The Taste of (DE-FI)ance?
A. Glad you asked because fashion has never looked or tasted so good–no there won’t be any Lady Gaga inspired meat dresses making their way down the runway! But The Taste of (DE-FI)ance is inspired by Italian Designer and Chef Anna Marconi’s Taste of Runway. We pair a skilled Chef up with fashion designers to create three course meals that not only compliment the origin of the fabric used in the designs but will also draw on artistic skills by using only ingredients and colors that reflects the design. For example, if the main fabric in being used in a design is Silk, then chances are the Chef will create a Chinese inspired appetizer that looks just like the design on the runway.

A. The Taste of (DE-FI)ance will also feature a Designer Trunk Show! So come ready to shop till you drop by purchasing local designers clothing, and then building your energy back up with some awesome food!

Designers from our incubator will share their story and guide guest through creative exercises designed to help them tell their story via the painting process. We'll have a chef on location that will work with guests individually to create a customized entree based on their story and prepare a specialty entree on location, complete with a mini-runway presentation. Making this a Fashion Experience like no other!

Attendees can expect to participate in an immersive and engaging fashion based outreach experience that includes Collapetive Collabitation, Brain Dayton, mini-charcuterie board party, Headlining Designers, Runway Showcase, silent disco, networking, inspirational speakers, and more.

Grab your squad and get ready to Bump, Set, and Spike for a little fun competition networking experience as only (DE-FI) can produce! We are bringing a media, retail, creatives, fashion, community outreach organizations and more together for a battle that will consists of a bracket-style round robin format where teams compete against one another ultimately resulting in a winner with bragging rights. Brown (pictured) experienced while in NYC for Fashion Week in 2018. The Talk of the Town Fashion Penthouse merged fashion, interior design, and retail into a unique one of a kind fashion experience.
In 2020, our goals was to bring a similar experience to Dayton Fashion Week of course with a signature (DE-FI) twist. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the week before fashion week, Ohio went into lockdown and we had to cancel our festivities. However, our goal is to once again bring this experience to Dayton Fashion Week:The Collections and/or Fashion Week of Cincinnati.
