Dayton based (DE-FI)ance Magazine is a fashion publication by (DE-FI) Global INC
The Blueprint They Can’t Touch
(DE-FI)ance is not just a fashion magazine—it’s a high-impact, unapologetic editorial platform re(DE-FI)ning what it means to be an industry game-changer. We are the loudest whisper in the room, the quiet force that demands attention, not by asking for it, but because our work speaks louder than words. (DE-FI)ance provides a stage for independent designers, aspiring models, creatives, and fashion professionals to step outside the mainstream and create their own rules.
We don't just teach the business of fashion—we build empires.
Designers: Build. Brand. Shine.
We mentor aspiring and emerging designers to establish their brands, connect with clientele, and master the art of runway production and editorial storytelling. From building your first collection to coordinating a flawless fashion show, we guide designers to own their space in the industry. We Are the home to Fashion’s Next Icons.
Through the (DE-FI) fashion incubators, we prepare designers with the tools to break ceilings:
Models: Break Through the Noise
Aspiring models in our incubators gain access to world-class runway experience, tear-sheet-quality editorial images, and introductions to the world’s top agencies. Over the past decade, we’ve helped launch over 200 models onto international platforms, including contracts with prestigious agencies across the globe. No fees. No height or size restrictions. No limits. Models who have appeared in (DE-FI)ance Magazine have signed with prestigious agencies like Factor, Red, and Next, while others have walked for iconic designers like Versace, When Smoke Clears, and St. Jesus, appearing on the pages of Vogue and the runways of New York, Paris, and Milan.
Our support doesn’t stop there. Models in our incubators are given more than a seat at the table—they’re taught how to own the room. From perfecting their walk and posing for editorial shoots to understanding contract negotiations and branding themselves as powerhouses, we set them up for longevity in an industry that often forgets the human element behind the image.
Our Voice, Our Style.
Confident, authoritative, and deeply personal. We are your trusted insider, your bold mentor, and the outsider who dared to defy expectations. We’re not here for the sediti, face-giving snobs or the industry’s gatekeepers. (DE-FI)ance is for the person who doesn’t need validation—they are the validation. For the one who turns heads without trying, who intimidates with a presence that says, “I don’t need to explain myself.”
Our work is often dismissed and left out of the conversation, not because it lacks merit but because we refused to play by their rules. Yet, when we make a move, rest assured...everyone pays attention, takes notes, and levels up.
Who We Serve.
(DE-FI)ance readers are not fashion followers; they are entrepreneurs, mentors, and innovators. They’ve built their success on grit, purpose, and authenticity, not popularity. They find power in their voice, wisdom in silence, joy in their journey, and fulfillment in the grind.
Our readers are mentors that are not afraid to share an embarrassing story about themselves or their failures. They admit their mistakes and is able to handle the demands of their own with grace and a sense of humor. They're not interested in popularity or others opinions of them. They stand confidently and (DE-FI)antly knowing that they've overcome more obstacles and roadblocks than their critics will ever know. They find happiness in the little things, lessons in failures, wisdom from silence, power in their voice, and their success is driven by purpose, not accolades, or the desire to be seen.
Our Impact.
(DE-FI)ance is a meticulously designed, award-winning, independent annual publication with global reach, sold in 13 countries. Curated for a sophisticated, globally minded audience, our mission is clear: give a voice to emerging talent and expose them to the world. Our influence has grown well beyond the Midwest, and we remain the voice of rebellion in a world of conformity.
We are committed to elevating fashion talent and culture, amplifying world-class designers, models, stylists, photographers, HMUAs, and more. We are the go-to publication for fashion insiders looking for a networking tool, continuing education resource, and a platform that shines unapologetically bright.
(DE-FI)ance Magazine is the future of fashion. We don’t fit in—and that’s exactly why we stand out.
